Hopeless.1.5.NI.b.tar.gz - Hopeless is now shareware.. Absolutely nothing has changed in the original game, just new things have been added Hopeless v1.0 (Same as unregistered 1.5) Hopeless is a game that a friend of mine created originally for DOS in his programming class. The object is simple: get points! In the NeXT version however you can play for points, or for blocks. Try it out, you might be suprised how addictive, fun, and hopeless it is. The Play: If you have more than one block of the same color you can click on part of it to make it go away, and get points for it. When you get rid of a block, there is a downward gravity, and a leftward gravity, in that order. You can either play for points by trying to connect as much as possible before you get rid of the block, or play for least tiles. Notes: If you are installing this on a network.. Run the program once first and load the high score table up. Once you do that the program will make a "HSDat.txt" file inside the .app wrapper. Change the permissions on that file so that everyone can read/write to it so that you can share the high score table with your friends/coworkers. Hopeless 1.5 (Registered) In order to register you must have write permissions to the directory. Sadly enough the 1.0/1.5 HS files aren't compatable. So you need to start all over with the blank HSDat.txt and change the permissions. Different Games: Delayed Gravity. Instead of the blocks dropping instantly, a gravity marker is put into its place. After another block is taken, markers from the previous turn are removed. Topsy Turvy. After every Turn, the gravity will switch to Upward or Downward gravity. Different Skills: Hopeless now has 3 skill levels, Easy is 5 colors, Medium = 6, Hard = 7.. Simple Nuff -Corey Frang
