PersonalINN is a personal NNTP News-Server that fetches news from your ISP (Internet Service
Provider) each time a PPP TCP/IP connection is made, and stores them on your computer so you
can read them offline using any NNTP newsreader. It also allows you to post news, of course.
It is based on the INN v1.4 distribution but eliminating everything that is not needed for
personal use, while incorporating other necessary software such as slurp and rpost.

PersonalINN comes precompiled in a handy NEXTSTEP package that installs with a double click.
If you want to use the inncheck script to control the correct configuration of PersonalINN and
you don't have perl installed on your computer, get yourself PersonalINN.Perl, too.
PersonalINN is described in full detail (some 30 pages) in NEXTTOYOU 96/1 and 96/2 allowing
you to really understand how it all works.

For those of you who are not able to understand German PersonalINN contains very brief English
installation instructions. While I have tried to deliver all important information please
understand that it is not possible to cover all aspects of a matter this complex in a short
sketch. PersonalINN comes with a full set of adapted manual pages which should provide help in
case of problems.
