 Hmm, I just noticed another port available there:
  apache.1.2.6.README
  apache.1.2.6.NIHS.pkg.b.tar.gz
  It looks like a nice distribution, and includes more documentation
  than this quick hack-job.  I that sounds apealing to you, I'd 
  recommend you use IT instead.  I believe it doesn't include very 
  many extra modules.  Your mileage may vary.

INSTALLATION

Unpack and use Installer.app to install to /LocalLibrary/WebServer
(or elsewhere, but you'll need to fixup the config files if
you do move it).  Root access is required to install.
