The EGCS C compiler (v1.1.1 port 1beta) for OpenStep for Mach 4.2.
DO NOT attempt to use this port on NEXTSTEP 3.x!

This is for testing purposes only.


INSTALLATION

Unpack to /usr/local:
cd /usr/local
gnutar xzvf /PathToArchive/egcs.1.1.1.m.I.tar.gz
WARNING: This will overwrite any currently installed version of gcc or egcs.

NOTE: you STILL need the openstep developer packages (tested for
OpenStep for Mach 4.2 only... earlier/other versions may or may
not work) installed in order to use this, as it uses NeXT's supplied
binutils, C libraries, and header files.
